Paolo requested to post a feedback for our stay at The Villa some months ago and I’m happy to do so! Well the house is unbelievable large and comfortable. My daughter and I stayed here in July 2011 and although our stay was short , the property was perfect and exactly as the photos describe it. It was very comfortable, clean, and well equipped. I would suggest to have a car. Even if the property is surrounded by many shops, supermarket, restaurants, it easier to get the best beaches by car and not by metropolitan train (by the way the station is just a couple of minutes far). We enjoyed wine and cheese and olives on the terrace each evening and the restaurants were excellent. I would especially recommend La Lamparda owned by a friend of Paolo. The apartment manager, Angela, picked us up at the train station when we arrived, and when we had to leave suddenly, she arranged a ride for us to Naples. She is friendly, helpful, and ready with suggestions for sightseeing, restaurants, and the best ice cream in Reggio! Don’t hesitate to rent this great house - it is everything it claims to be and more!

From the start, it was a great experience. Paolo was very helpful and answered all my questions on the phone and via e-mail before even booking the villa. There were six of us staying in the house for a week and unfortunately we did not get to meet Paolo, but there were many others to help us. The housekeeper, Signora Angela greeted us on arrival and Signor Enzo was our taxi driver at the beginning and end of our stay. We did rent a car and travelled into Reggio some evenings. The villa was spacious and located in the heart of the town. It was only a short walk to buy fresh fruits and vegetables, or to have an espresso and chocolate cornetto at the bar across the street. The beach was also walking distance from the villa. During our stay, we visited different beaches along the coast, had gelato daily at Tahiti or at the world famous gelateria, Cesare in Reggio Calabria. The locals were friendly and we were immersed in the Italian culture for a week. My favourite part of the villa was the balcony on the second floor with a view of the sea and Sicily. While everyone else was sleeping in the heat of the afternoon, I would be reading my book on the shaded balcony.

We are a group of 8 crazy friends who decided to drive thru the whole Italy by car to spend 2 weeks at the very end of Italy. House& neighborhood We stayed in Paolo’s villa for two weeks in July. The house indeed is extremely spacious, well - groomed, has a positive energy, you feel like at home. The view from the terrace - astonishing - you can see the Sicily and actually easily get there by a nearby ferry. The house has three floors. On the first floor there is huge living room, kitchen and bathroom. On the second room 3 bedrooms and bathroom. On the third floor bedroom and big terrace with this beautiful view. Two bathrooms truly are a good idea for such a big house. The house is equipped with air conditioning therefore even during hot days there is a pleasant chill in the house. Moreover, the house is well equipped with all devices ( TV,iron, kitchen equipment). We didn’t lack anything there. The neighborhood is very calm and quiet, we were so proud that we got to a place that probably none of the Polish tourists got before. Pellaro is not a tourists area so you can see the true Italian style. Natives are very friendly and always welcomed us with a smile. Pellaro district is far enough from the center of Reggio di Calabria to have lower prices at the shops and restaurants. Beach We wanted to discover the south and drove a lot to find the most beautiful beach. What we recommend is a beach in Scilla. 20 minutes by car from Pellaro. It was our favorite one with many young people, nice bars, wonderful views and pleasant surroundings. Cuisine Paolo’s kitchen is very bright, well-equipped and spacious so we were cooking ourselves from time to time but when you will be in Pellaro you definitely need to visit two restaurants - La Griglia - which serves the best frutti di mare we have ever eaten and La Capanna- very elegant one, with the tables on the beach where delicious fresh fish is served. Nightlife Not only we enjoyed our evenings at the villa’s terrace talking, playing cards, drinking Calabria’s wine but also parties in Reggio di Calabria. There are a lot of clubs along Lungomare, so for sure you will have a dilemma which club you should choose (PAPERO BEACH, Calajunco Beach Club, A´rribba Beach Club, Mirablu and so long so far) Paolo, Angela, thanks a lot for your kind welcome, care and for the information we would find in any guide ? We had a summer of our lives!

What a wonderful villa, property and owner. We reminisce of our lazy days at the villa watching the sea from the terrace, relaxing with CNN. It is a marvelous place for enjoying your holiday. The Villa was very clean and much more spacious than we had anticipated and we could not have asked for a more perfect location to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. It is well equipped and very traditional, garden is very large and the balcony from the lounge & main bedroom was superb! The air conditioned in all the room was also very helpful. This great villa is within walking distance to beach, local shops and one of the best local restaurants we have ever experienced, “La Lamparda”! A real Italian restaurant with very reasonable rates. Thank you Flora and Paolo for the good time we had.

Wonderful location, very clean and roomy with great deck, garden and view of the sea. Everything we wanted in our Calabria lodging. We felt like kings like we had our own estate. Also the location is perfectly located, we did day trips all over Calabria and Sicily. Lastly the price can’t be beat and Paolo was very helpful. Thanks!!

We were 5 adult travelers who stayed one week at this property. We had a wonderful time, and the House was perfect for our needs. We rented a car, and it was nice to have our own garage. Very convenient to have the train station so close. We went to Reggio by train a couple times. We drove around Calabria (Back to our grandparent’s town). We drove, and took the ferry to Sicily. It is so easy and so worth it! Thanks to Paolo, his dad and Flora for their hospitality.

This is a lovely Villa, which is ideal for a large family. We are a family of 6 adults and 2 small children and there was plenty of room for all of us to enjoy our own space. The Villa is safe for children and there was plenty of room to play on the balconies, garden and terraces. We based ourselves at the Villa and visited San Ferdinando, Scilla, Aspromonte, Africo, Locri, and Reggio and also spent time in Pellaro. As a large family, we shopped locally, cooked and ate our meals in the large family kitchen. In the evenings we enjoyed the air on the roof terrace, enjoying the view of Sicily by night. I recommend the Villa for those travelling as a family. We felt very comfortable based at the Villa.

We contacted Mr. Paolo Zagami through a common friend one year ago and we rented “The Villa” for 10 days last summer. From the beginning he was very kind and helpful by picking up all of us (we were a family of 5) at the Reggio Calabria airport. The house is very large with a lot of sun coming in through the window and the balconies. The view is pretty beautiful and the air is wonderful and not hot. We had a car and the parking near the garden was very useful. The location of the house is perfect because it’s only about 100 meters away from the beach but at the same time it’s on a main street where you can find all the shops, the groceries and the market. By the way, we found a terrific shopping center just a few blocks away. More in particular, it’s located very near all the wonderful beaches of the Ionian Sea, and it’s connected to every place by a metropolitan train which leaves just in front of the house. During our holiday, we especially loved the beaches of Lazzaro and Melito Porta Salvo and we appreciated the great “Magna Grecia Museum” of Reggio. Travelling by car, we went to eat the best fish I have ever ate in my life (concerning restaurants, ask Paolo and he will give you the best advice). We loved the “gelato” and the “granitas”. We loved our stay in Calabria and our accommodations were really perfect…thanks for everything Paolo!

We have had seven perfect days here…our souls have been nourished, not just from the peace and beauty of Calabria but also from the hospitality extended to us during our stay at San Peter and Pauls House. This 3 bedroom Villa is extremely spacious and we loved that there were 2 bathrooms so we felt like we had his and her bathrooms. The view from the terrace and other windows in the Villa are absolutely beautiful. The entire Villa is tended to immaculately. It was perfect. We had a blast and this Villa is absolutely spectacular and the view is magnificent. From the moment we arrived it felt like home away from home and does not feel like an impersonal rental at all. The private garden and sunsets all contributed to a perfect vacation. We sat on the terrace for hours one afternoon, deeply content, watching the late afternoon sky. Paolo has attended to every detail that you could imagine and if there is something you want, he will get it for you. He has great taste and very polite, respectful and accommodating. You instantly feel like you have known Paolo for awhile because of his camaraderie. We must thank Paolo personally for his exceptional communication, tons of wonderful advice about Calabria, and it made a smooth experience from start to finish. The amenities and forethought evident in your preparation for your guests was extraordinary Paolo. Being by water is an absolutely wonderful location, and yet you are just minutes from everything. We got to enjoy the local culture. Nothing prepared us for how wonderful it was to be there. We think it will be paradise for anyone who visits, whether to meditate, to luxuriate, to relax or to explore. Local walks and attractions are also very conveniently located. Having internet access 24 7 was so convenient and saved us from having to venture out and about looking for an internet cafe, just to have a laptop at our fingertips was definitely a plus. We were able to communicate with our families and friends. We would highly recommend San Peter and Pauls House to anyone. Yes we will be back. Thanks for the memories and wonderful time. Feel free to email us with any questions.
